Get started with IXIOM

Your IXIOM account and AI access

Your IXIOM account manages app access and account preferences. Claude, Codex and other agents also use their respective provider connections. Signing in to IXIOM does not automatically sign you in to every AI provider.

Settings > Agent contains CLI accounts, programs, providers and external agents. If a CLI is missing or its login has expired, IXIOM shows the issue and a route to complete setup.

Start with a focused task

A new session has its own conversation and workspace. A name such as “Portfolio” and a goal such as “Build a contact page” make it easier to find later. Choose a model and thinking level when you want to change them; otherwise use your saved defaults.

You can grant access to a project folder or attach a repository. A repository is optional for ordinary questions. Chat and terminal are separate views; terminal sessions open directly in the terminal.

Find your way around

Sessions and tools live on the left, with environments across the top. More contains additional tools and lets you pin those you use often. Open tools appear as closable tabs alongside your session.

Agent Chat

Opens IXI for help with sessions, notes and operating IXIOM.

Dev

Opens previews, changes, files and repository controls for the selected session.

Account and updates

The account menu leads to settings and help. Available desktop updates display their version and release notes; use the update notification to install and restart.
