Getting started & help

Accounts, sign-in and usage

Understand your IXIOM account, CLI sign-ins, API connections and provider limits.

App version 0.7.934 · Updated

Get started

  1. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar for your IXIOM profile and settings.
  2. For provider sign-ins, go to Settings > Agent > CLI Accounts.
  3. Add an account entry, assign a Chrome profile if useful and finish browser authorization.
  4. Save a successfully connected login for future account switches.
  5. Check the active provider connection and usage before continuing an existing session.

Which account does what

Your IXIOM account manages your app profile and access to IXIOM. A Claude or Codex login authorizes that AI CLI. An API key belongs to a specific API service. These connections are separate; switching your IXIOM profile does not purchase or change an AI subscription.

Account contains profile and app-access information. Agent configures AI connections. Features such as Image Studio and Voice Assistant explain their required access in their own settings areas.

Switch CLI accounts and sign in again

The CLI account switcher shows active and saved sign-ins. A valid saved login enables switching without another browser round. If it is no longer valid, IXIOM guides you to sign in; an assigned Chrome profile helps you select the intended account.

You can sign out of the CLI, sign in again and restart an affected session with the new login while retaining its chat history. Active work does not change accounts arbitrarily mid-task: Claude may require a session restart; Codex waits for running work and subagents to finish.

If the browser returns a different account or authorization is still pending, sign-in is not yet successful. Use the displayed recovery action rather than repeatedly creating new sessions.

Limits and saved preferences

The status bar and usage widgets display what the respective provider makes available. This can include time windows, reset times, quotas, balances and session usage. Providers expose different information; a missing reading does not indicate an unlimited allowance.

Saved readings include their observation time. When a previous reset time has passed, a new provider reading is needed to confirm availability. Optional session automations can continue in a controlled way or switch between accounts already configured.

Account preferences, environments, presets and team settings can follow your IXIOM account. Local repositories, the raw Project journal archive, WhatsApp browser data and device-specific file paths stay local. Account sync is not a backup of your project files.
