Collab and friends
Share a session with people, choose guest access and use shared tasks or voice.
App version 0.7.934 · Updated
Get started
- Open Collab and host a session or join with a shared code.
- As host, select guest permissions and check participants and connection status.
- Use the shared conversation, task board and optional voice while working together.
Share a session with people
Collab uses a room code for hosting and joining. The participant view shows connected people. Open Collab as its own view or dock it beside the session.
The host determines guest permissions. A pending invitation is not yet an active connection; check the displayed connection status and participants.
Understand guest access
Three permission levels control interaction with the shared session. Choose a level for the guest's intended task.
- Read Only
- View chat and terminal without sending input or approving actions.
- Co-Pilot
- View and send chat messages; terminal input and approvals remain with the host.
- Full Access
- Also enter terminal input and approve actions.
Tasks, voice and friends
The Collab task board keeps shared work visible. Voice supports voice activation or push-to-talk so you can speak while working.
The Friends widget lets you find users, manage requests and see presence. Invite people into Collab or start available Buddy duels from there. Claude + Codex shared chat and Git team orchestration have their own setup and documentation.
