Get started

  1. Click + in the session sidebar and choose a provider, name and optional goal.
  2. Add a preset, project folder or repository if needed, then start the session.
  3. Use a session’s context menu to rename, group, tag or move it.
  4. Open history with the clock icon to search and restore earlier sessions.

A workspace for each task

Sessions retain their provider, conversation, goal and working directory. This lets you keep several tasks open and switch between them deliberately. An attached code repository and an additional accessible project folder are separate ways to supply working material.

The new-session dialog offers model, thinking, permission and other options supported by the selected provider. Save useful values as defaults or use a preset for a recurring role.

Organize sessions and read their status

Name sessions after their outcome, reorder them by dragging and group related conversations. The context menu also offers moving to another environment and a quick note.

Status indicators distinguish active work, waiting and required user input. Urgent, active and paused tags, plus the done marker, help you manage your own workload. Marking a session done does not independently verify its output.

Restore and find earlier work

Search session history and filter it by backend. Earlier IXIOM sessions can be restored; detected external CLI sessions appear in a separate area for attachment. Resuming depends on the corresponding provider conversation still being available.

If a session fails to start, its history is retained and a retry is offered. For a lasting record of requests and answers, Project journal keeps a separate archive that is independent of removing a session.
