Keyboard, Quick Question and commands
Reach sessions faster, control the composer and start with a global Quick Question.
App version 0.7.934 · Updated
Get started
- Open the command palette with Ctrl+P and search for an action.
- Cycle sessions with Ctrl+Tab or open a new one with Ctrl+T.
- Enable Quick Question in settings and choose a custom global shortcut if needed.
- Press its shortcut, Alt+Space by default, and send a question to the selected session.
- Type / in a supported chat composer to see available commands.
Ask from another application
Quick Question opens a small separate window through a systemwide shortcut. Type immediately and send work to a session without first finding IXIOM’s main window. The default is Alt+Space, with a custom shortcut available in settings.
Quick Question uses the default environment as a stable starting point and shows the selected session’s answer. You can disable the shortcut. If another application already owns the same combination, choose an unused one.
Composer and slash commands
Enter sends and Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y support undoing and redoing attachment changes. Escape asks before stopping an active model run.
The slash picker separates IXIOM commands, custom commands and provider-specific CLI commands. Custom commands provide reusable prompt text. Commands such as /compact or /model depend on the backend; /voice and /voice settings control live voice in Codex sessions.
