Routines and session automation
Schedule recurring work, queue follow-up prompts and control what happens after provider limits.
App version 0.7.934 · Updated
Get started
- Open Routines and create a routine with a name and a complete task prompt.
- Select the backend, supported model options, optional project folder and schedule. Check the displayed upcoming runs.
- Save the routine, test it with Run now and read its result and linked session in History.
Recurring work
Routines start tasks in their own sessions. Schedules can run hourly, daily, on selected weekdays or at an interval. Times follow the computer's local time zone. Routines are organized in their own environments inside the Routines folder.
IXIOM must be running and signed in; it can be minimized. Catch-up determines whether a time missed while the app was closed runs on the next start. This is not a cloud schedule that operates while your computer is off.
Execution and history
An explicitly chosen model or thinking level applies to the routine. Use defaults inherits the current provider settings. An optional project folder supplies working context; every run keeps its own session.
History shows the task, scheduled time, output, duration, status and a link to its session. Pausing prevents future scheduled starts. Stop a task that is already running in its session and inspect that session for errors or pending questions.
Follow-ups in an existing session
A session's Automations menu queues prompts after a delay, at a specific time or after a detected limit reset. Prompts wait until the session is ready. Saved prompts are checked after restart; Stop pauses automation for that session.
Resume after a limit and automatic account switching have separate switches. Account switching uses previously saved logins for the same provider and waits for its sessions to be idle. If continuation or delivery is uncertain, inspect the conversation and status before enabling it again.
Permissions and usage
Routines use their sessions' access and permissions. Skipping approval prompts changes which actions can proceed without a question; make the task and permitted actions explicit.
Provider limits and possible API charges also apply to automated runs. IXI's Cron management is additionally available in the Agent area for that assistant's own recurring jobs.
